Here are a few suggestions:
This classic strain has maintained popularity for good reason. Developed in the Netherlands by an Australian seed breeder, the near-balanced blend is characterized by its light-green color and white crystals. It’s a compact plant of medium height; the buds only develop a very few amber-colored hairs, but the resin content of the nugs is notable. It’s resistant to mold and a hardy plant for cold climates, which has helped boost its popularity; in fact, this plant has reached a legendary status in some places where it might be tough for the actual strain to live up to. It has an earthy, woody taste and a dank smell, and though it looks very similar to the White, they’re not related
Relatively unknown in Colorado ten years ago, Blue Dream has become a force here as well as on the West Coast. The sativa-dominant hybrid has roots in California, where Blueberry and Haze birthed a commercial cannabis phenomenon. Because of Blue Dream’s high yields and resiliency against powdery mildew, dispensary owners and growers rely on the strain for easier growing periods and quantity yields. But for those same reasons, some cuts of the popular strain have muddled genetics that can lead to effects leaning toward the indica side.
Looks: Nugs are usually dense and bell- or pellet-shaped, with bright-green color and vibrant orange pistils. There should be no foxtailing.
Smell: Blueberry/candy-like sweetness with spicy overtones.
Flavor: Sugar and blueberry flavors — like a candy lollipop — with funky and spicy aftertastes.
Effects: Feelings can include a euphoric mind melt with reduced stress and raised creativity. As a result, depression, anxiety, and lack of appetite have been treated with Blue Dream. But because the market has been flooded with Blue Dream phenotypes, some users have reported differing effects, including indica body highs resulting in a great, relaxed, and sleepy high.
Girl Scout Cookies
Girl Scout Cookies, or GSC, is an OG Kush and Durban Poison hybrid cross whose reputation grew too large to stay within the borders of its California homeland. With a sweet and earthy aroma, Girl Scout Cookies launches you to euphoria’s top floor where full-body relaxation meets a time-bending cerebral space. A little goes a long way with this hybrid, whose THC heights have won Girl Scout Cookies numerous Cannabis Cup awards. Patients needing a strong dose of relief, however, may look to GSC for severe pain, insomnia, nausea, and appetite loss.
Bubba Kush is an indica strain that has gained notoriety in the U.S. and beyond for its heavy tranquilizing effects. Sweet hashish flavors with subtle notes of chocolate and coffee come through on the exhale, delighting the palate as powerful relaxation takes over. From head to toe, muscles ease with heaviness as dreamy euphoria blankets the mind, crushing stress while coercing happy moods. Bubba Kush exhibits a distinctive, bulky bud structure with hues that range from forest green to pale purple.
OG Kush makes up the genetic backbone of West Coast cannabis varieties, but in spite of its ubiquity, its genetic origins remain a mystery. Popular myth maintains that Chemdawg and Hindu Kush parented OG Kush, passing on the distinct “kush” bud structure we see in many strains today. However, we can’t be sure because OG Kush first came from bag seed in the early 90s. The earliest propagators (now known as Imperial Genetics) are said to have brought the seeds out of Florida to Colorado and southern California, where it now flourishes. There are many different phenotypes of OG Kush, some of which include Tahoe OG, SFV OG, and Alpha OG. Be prepared to cough up a long! OG is very strong, making it our personal favorite indica. OG Kush is cherished for its ability to crush stress under the weight of its heavy euphoria. It carries an earthy pine and sour lemon scent with woody undertones, an aroma that has become the signature of OG Kush varieties and descendants. With OG Kush, patients most commonly cite improvements in migraines, ADD/ADHD, and stress disorders.
